Fatsia Japonica

(Fatsia Japonica)

This cluster of Fatsia plants is only one of the many that you will find along the trail. This plant has large leaves, approximately4-5 centimeters wide, of a glossy green color. The plant produces little white flowers which grow like an umbrella, blooming between August and October. The blooming period takes place at this time because of the warmer temperature, however the leaves remain green year round. There can be many clusters found throughout the forest because this plant can tolerate a range of sun exposure from partial sun to dense shade.
